Capturing Love at Terrace on the Park: A December to Remember
The crisp December air may have hinted at winter, but inside Terrace on the Park in Queens, a warmth radiated that could have melted any chill. It was December 3rd, 2024, and I was honored to be behind the lens capturing the incredible wedding of Rachel and Anjo. Every wedding is a tapestry of moments, but this one felt particularly vibrant, woven with laughter, genuine connection, and, of course, the stunning backdrop that is Terrace on the Park.
The day began in a bustle of pre-wedding preparation. Walking into the bridal suite, the atmosphere was a delightful mix of excitement and calm, perfectly encapsulating Rachel's demeanor. The room was bathed in soft, natural light, highlighting the intricate lace of her dress and the delicate floral arrangements. Anjo, in the groom's suite, exuded a quiet, happy confidence, surrounded by his groomsmen. It's often in these candid moments, away from the main events, that the true character of a wedding is revealed, and I found it a joy to capture these personal touches.
As the ceremony commenced, the grand ballroom at Terrace on the Park was transformed into an ethereal sanctuary. The lighting was magical, casting a gentle glow on the couple as they stood before their loved ones. The ceremony itself was a beautiful blend of tradition and personal touches, a true reflection of Rachel and Anjo’s journey together. Their vows were heartfelt, delivered with a warmth and sincerity that moved many to tears. It was a privilege to document these fleeting moments, ensuring they are preserved as lasting memories.
If the ceremony was the heart of the wedding, the reception was undoubtedly its soul. The ballroom, with its high ceilings and glittering chandeliers, set the stage for a night to remember. The energy was electric as Rachel and Anjo made their grand entrance, kicking off an evening of non-stop dancing and celebration. It was a joy to witness the love and support from their family and friends, all united in their happiness for the newlyweds.
As a wedding photographer, my goal is to go beyond just taking photos. I strive to tell a story, to capture the emotions and the essence of a day that will be cherished for a lifetime. Documenting Rachel and Anjo's wedding at Terrace on the Park was an incredible experience, one that I will always hold dear. Their love is truly inspiring, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of their special day.

Arlene and JR
Raindrops, Resilience, and a Beautiful Douglaston Wedding
Last June 14, 2025, started like many wedding days do: with a mix of excitement, anticipation, and, in this case, a healthy dose of anxiety. The weather forecast for Douglaston, New York, had predicted rain, and unfortunately, it delivered on its promise. But for Arlene and JR, the rain wasn't going to dampen their spirits, and it definitely wasn't going to stop them from having the wedding of their dreams.
As a photographer, rain can be both a challenge and an opportunity. It forces you to get creative, to think outside the box, and to capture the beauty in unexpected places. For Arlene and JR's wedding, the rain provided a unique backdrop that highlighted their love and resilience.
We arrived at the Douglaston Golf Course early in the afternoon, and the rain was coming down in sheets. The outdoor ceremony site, which had been meticulously prepared, was soaking wet. But instead of letting the weather get them down, Arlene and JR were remarkably calm and collected. They embraced the rain, trusting that everything would work out.
We spent the afternoon capturing the couple as they prepared for their big day. The indoor spaces at the Douglaston Golf Course were elegant and spacious, providing ample opportunities for candid shots and intimate portraits. We captured moments of laughter, tears, and nervous energy as the couple got ready to say their vows.
And then, just as the ceremony was about to begin, the rain stopped. It was as if the universe was smiling down on Arlene and JR, granting them a brief window of sunshine to exchange their vows.
The clouds parted, and the sun broke through, casting a warm, golden glow over the golf course. The outdoor ceremony site was transformed, and the atmosphere was electric with excitement and relief. Guests quickly gathered, and Arlene and JR walked down the aisle, surrounded by their loved ones.
The ceremony was a beautiful testament to their love and commitment. With the rain behind them and the sun shining down, Arlene and JR shared their vows, promises of a lifetime. The tears that flowed were of joy and happiness, a reflection of the depth of their love.
Arlene and JR's wedding was a beautiful reminder that even when things don't go according to plan, love conquers all. The rain didn't diminish their joy; it enhanced it, making their day even more special and memorable. As a photographer, it was an honor to capture their love story, from the raindrops to the rays of sunshine.
